Who is Will Charlton

I’m 77 and much appreciate Wharton where I have lived for 20 years. My politics are that the State is a part solution, never THE solution.

My standing now as an independent is a measure of my lack of confidence in the Conservative Party as I believe Democracy needs parties of government to govern from defence, justice, the economy, health, education, and local government etc. Note, too, that I resigned as a Conservative VRBC member in 2008 over the creation of non-compliant CWAC and CE – but the by-election, which I had sought to allow public discussion, was not allowed.

As a Anglican Christian, I have lost confidence in the Monarchy. You worship as you do: we have freedom of religion. But King Charles, as head of the Church of England, cannot defend faiths.

It’s blasphemy to imply, as he will in the Coronation, that faiths other than Anglicanism are equally valid. Yet the Conservative Government allows blasphemy and no other parties object. Who defends democracy? But King Charles does not only blaspheme, he has abandoned right and wrong with the amoral military covenant. Who then defends democracy?

I call for delay to the Coronation and clarification of how democracy is to be defended. Or does the King believe democracy is the problem, not the solution?

I am also a forester and woodland owner, too, and await the reply of the Climate Change C’ee on the return of the ice.
